Derbi Variant moped from Barcelona, Spain. I worked as a consultant to this company to help them sell scooters and mopeds in the USA. We got our moped in the Wargames movie. In this picture Ally Sheedy is driving our moped and Matthew Broderick is chasing after her. Yes, this is “Product placement” in movies at it’s earliest years. Italian scooter maker Vespa eventually bought the company. I also raced the new 250 motocross bike.
